Academy Awards 2021: Das sind die Oscar-Gewinner des Jahres

Die letzte Nacht stand in Hollywood mal wieder im Zeichen von Glanz und Glamour, denn die Academy Awards – oder umgangssprachlich auch „die Oscars“ – wurden verliehen!

Dieses Jahr einige Wochen später als normalerweise und in einem – pandemiebedingt – geschlosseneren Kreis als üblich wurde das Event an mehrere Orte in Los Angeles verteilt. Wer sich das komplette Spektakel (noch einmal) ansehen möchte, kann die knapp 5-stündige Show bei YouTube finden.

Der große Gewinner des Abends war sicherlich Nomadland (bester Film, beste Regie, beste Hauptdarstellerin für Frances McDormand). Der Film von Searchlight Pictures gehört dank dem 20th-Century-Fox-Deal zur Walt Disney Company. Zu den weiteren Gewinnern aus dem Disney-Portfolio zählt Soul (bester Animationsfilm, beste Filmmusik).

Ein Highlight für Filmfans in den kommenden Monaten wird sicherlich auch die Neuverfilmung des Musicals West Side Story sein. Hier wurde im Rahmen der Oscarverleihung der erste Trailer enthüllt:
